One of the steps after subscribing to your alerts calendar is to make it syncable and visible.

You need to go to your main calendar application.  Usually this is at Home > Search  for "Calendar" and run the Calendar application.

You then go to your Menu > Settings > Calendars and search for your new alerts calendar.
